About Pangutich Fire
The Panguitch Fire Department is a fully volunteer fire department. There are about twenty volunteers protecting the community.
The Panguitch Fire Department responds to fires, auto accidents, smoke and CO alarms as well as any other emergency in our community. Response area includes Panguitch City as well as the surrounding highways. PFD also has mutual aid agreements with surrounding communities and counties.
Panguitch Fire Department is dispatched by the Garfield County Sheriff's
Office.
Aparatus includes two engines, a mini-pumper, and a rescue truck. Engine
One is a Pierce custom Contender Series(R) pumper. It's one of the trucks donated for use in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics that we purchased just after the Olympics was over. Engine Two is a Pierce DASH D-8000.
Rescue One is a Pierce Chevy Mini Pumper. And Rescue Two is a Chevy
Silverado K3500 4WD Crew Cab rescue truck outfitted with portable generators and other rescue equipment.
